10 Ways to Cope with Being Turned into A Werewolf or Vampire Against Your Will

  1. Look on the bright side.

Don’t just focus on the cons, focus on the pros.  Sure, maybe silver bullets and garlic and daylight are your kryptonite, but on the other hand you finally have your dog’s full respect and obedience, and you can read people’s minds and be a master of seduction.

  1. Make the most of the experience.

Fly like a (vampire) bat out of hell on the darkest night of the year; run through the wilderness in the dark of the night and lose your cares and fears, (because I guarantee you are now the scariest thing out there).

  1. Embrace your new position in the food chain.

Who are your predators now?  Why animals even fear you and even human beings. What have you to fear, when you are to be feared? Embrace that power.

  1. Utilize your power for good.

Being what you may consider to be a heinous, vile, treacherous monster doesn’t have to be all bad, you can utilize your power for good. Think about it, being a werewolf or vampire, if you must hunt and track and prey upon a victim, -why not be selective with your prey and take out those who are on the FBI’s Most Wanted List for murder or acts of terrorism.  Sometimes the “Most Wanted Lists” specify dead or alive, so as long as there’s somewhat of a carcass left -just enough to prove DNA, you may be able to collect a monetary reward, -have your cake and eat it too.

  1. Find a friend who can relate, someone experiencing the same thing.

To know that you are not the only one suffering from such a change, against your will, helps to alleviate the stress of it all.  Sometimes it helps to find someone who is going through the same issue, so you can confide in and rant and rave about it, and learn how to cope with the issue, together, and not feel alone or isolated by such a life altering event.

  1. Network with others of your species.

Socialize with other werewolves and vampires to better understand what you are, your strengths, talents, what shampoo works best to keep your fur soft and silky, and hairball free, which brand of sun glasses work best to keep the sunlight out of your eyes, which blood bank has the freshest blood, and so forth.  Knowledge after all, is power. Know thy (new) self.

  1. Understand that everything happens for a reason and that just maybe the whole experience was destined for you, to be able to thrive and discover your greater self.

Face it, do we really have any control over anything life tosses our way?  We make a series of decisions daily to try and control our lives, but you can’t control the traffic, or other people, or even events that happen in life.  You only have control of how you react towards it.  You can make lemonade from lemons or just deal with the bitterness, -your choice.

  1. Be thankful to be alive.

Even though being a vampire, you are practically dead, the flip side of the coin, to not being a werewolf or vampire, is death, -laying in complete solitude in a casket or in an urn as ash, not breathing, but pushing up daisies.  This new monstrosity of an existence, is still an existence, make the most of it.

  1. Think about how and why it was you were turned.

Were you in the wrong place at the wrong time, intermingling with the wrong crowd; was it the only option to save your life?  No matter how you came by this new existence, it’s yours and you can accept the fault or stake you had in the change or the fact that someone was trying to give you your next best chance and be thankful and move on, or you can hold onto bitterness and let it eat you up inside, but if you are ever going to cope, the first step is acceptance.

  1. Change your state of mind.

If you think and believe the worst of what you are, you need to reverse that way of thinking.  Find ways to be the best vampire or werewolf you can be so you can get out of those negative modes of thinking, instead of a “blood sucker,” think of yourself as no different from a leech or mosquito, all pertinent creatures to the ecosystem and even in modern medicine.  Vampires have their place too.  Instead of thinking of yourself as an over grown dog with a voracious appetite, think of yourself as no different from the wolf, -only with a sharper edge, being part human.  The key is positive thinking.
