We did attend and participate in the Zine Fest Houston Texas 2024. It was our first time ever and the vibe was perfect. Libertarians, Artists, Art Lovers and Creatives were abundant with something for all ages from Children to Adult. Our Table had a well balanced mix for all, with humor, art and a plethora of culturally diverse and nostalgic finds anyone would come to love.
Fortune Tellers were a nostalgic find infused with humor and wisdom to include the following themes:

Mini Pocket Zines were our widest variety to include everything from The Wonderful World of Sloths to Chinese Astrology. It featured an enthusiastic and unusual Zine Library, but not officially full of useless knowledge.
Our bigger full figured zines (not mini / pocket sized) may have been a bit bizarre as far as topics, but never dull on the entertainment aspect.
And don’t ever forget the Freebies to keep your customers coming back for more and to show our appreciation for their purchase. Of course cute baby’s and kids get these freebies just for stopping by!
And to all who stopped by, a free origami crane. I had so many origami cranes left over from our Wedding back in 2012 as wedding favors, sitting in our garage, that it was a great bonus that everyone seemed to love!
Overall takeaway – Good times! Everyone was nice and inviting and I won’t lie, we definitely spent more than we made, but it was a great atmosphere to meet new people and collect great finds. I will make my next post about by 2024 Zine Fest Haul! Stay Tuned.
