Relica Enchanted is a novella series encompassing romance, erotica, action, adventure, fantasy and horror, still in the works. Volumes 1, 2 & 3 are available on Amazon. Volume 4 will premier this year, 2019, with Volume 5 soon to follow.
Author Maryanne Johnson is also a poet, blogger, and playwright. She has written 7 books of poetry, 20 plus cook books, a non-fiction book entitled Food for the Soul, and over 60 children’s books. The unusual factor here however, is that:
- This is her first attempt at fiction, and a novella series at that.
- She majored in English, having a BA in English and a Masters in Business Management, but she doesn’t like to read. She does love writing and poetry however.
- She is squeamish about the topic of sex, or rather shy about it.
- She isn’t a big romance fanatic, as she finds it mushy and corny at times, but loves action and thrillers.
- She wanted to write a book that was universal.
- She believes the underlying psychological reason behind this book series is about her daughter.
- There are so many story lines in this book, that she can hardly keep up.
- She has written this novella series like a movie in the sense she cuts from scene to scene and has a lot of dialogue. In fact, she’d love for this book series to be a movie and TV series someday.
- She wants Relica Enchanted to be a literary work of art, and not just a story, as she uses literary devices and poetry throughout her book.
- She has struggled to write this series, as it has been in the works since 2015, with her writing about 100 pages a year, but she will not give up on the completion of this series until it is done.
